abstract

a humidity sensor thin film based on nanoporous pbwo4-wo3 composites has been prepared by spin coating technique with different weight ratio of pbwo4 (pb) and wo3 (wo) (pwwo-01, pwwo-82, pwwo-64, pwwo-46, pwwo-28, pwwo-01) and their humidity sensing properties have also been investigated at different relative humidity (rh) in the range of 5% - 98% at room temperature with dc resistance. it is found that composite pwwo-28 show best humidity sensing properties with the sensitivity factor value of (sf) 3733. the response and recovery time of humidity sensor are about 50 s and 120 s, respectively. high sensitivity, narrow hysteresis loop, rapid response and recovery, prominent stability and good repeatability are obtained. synthesized pbwo4-wo3 composites were characterized by power x-ray diffraction (xrd), field emission scanning electron microscopy (fesem), transmission electron microscopy (tem), bet and photoluminescence (pl) studies. the photocatalytic result demonstrated photocatalytic efficiency of nonporous pwwo-28 composite. the antimicrobial activity of the composites was determined by disc diffusion method.

Synthesis, Characterization and Photocatalytic Properties of MnTiO3-Zeolite-Y Nanocomposites

MnTiO3-Zeolite-Y nanocomposites were synthesized with 5-10-20% (w/w) of MnTiO3 by stearic acid gel method. Then, the gels were calcined at 900 °C for 4 hours and the resulted spectra were investigated at 20% (w/w) concentration. Also, the presence of rhombohedral phase of MnTiO3 in Zeolite-Y matrix was confirmed by XRD, SEM, EDX and BET. The VSM results showed t...

Synthesis of Zinc Oxide Nanostructured Thin Film by Sol- Gel Method and Evaluation of Gas Sensing Properties

Ethanol (C2H6O) sensitivity of zinc oxide (ZnO) thin film has been studied in present work. Semiconductor thin films of zinc oxide (ZnO) were deposited onto alkali-free glass substrates by the sol–gel method and dip-coating technique. The ZnO sol was synthesized by dissolving zinc acetate dehydrate in ethanol, and then adding Tetra ethanol-amine.  The as-coated films were preheated at 150 ºC fo...

Enhanced photoelectrochemical and photocatalytic activity of WO3-surface modified TiO2 thin film

Development of nanostructured photocatalysts for harnessing solar energy in energy-efficient and environmentally benign way remains an important area of research. Pure and WO3-surface modified thin films of TiO2 were prepared by magnetron sputtering on indium tin oxide glass, and photoelectrochemical and photocatalytic activities of these films were studied. TiO2 particles were <50 nm, while de...
